Maryam Abacha, American University regulating council MAAUN, has conveyed condolences to her President, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, over the demise of his brother, Naziru Yusuf Gwarzo.
Naziru Yusuf died on Sunday night, (21-02-2021) at Sabon Layin Kara in Gwarzo local government of Kano state. He died after a brief illness.
The condolence statement relayed to reporters on Monday indicated that the deceased is Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo cousin in his prime age. The funeral rites took place at his hometown, Sabon Layi Gwarzo.
MAAUN’s governing body says Nasiru’s demise is a great loss, not only to his household but also to Kano state and Nigeria.
“Before his death, the late Naziru was enthusiastic for youth advancement. He has sacrificed his moment in composing meaningful testimonies for the perception of youth and the broad population, that stimulate them to pursue both Islamic and western knowledge”, the statement stressed.
The MAAUN executive council prayed for the Almighty God to forgive Naziru’s shortcoming and reward him with Jannatul Firdaus.
The council and the entire members of staff of the University condole and sympathise with Professor Adamu Gwarzo and his entire family for the loss.
